🛡️Clans, Characters & Bosses

Clans

Pepe

In the tenth year of the Eternal Moon, when memes attained sentience, the eminent Pepe clan heroes Peperlemagne, Meme Nukem and Satoshi Pepemoto united with the great god-man Sminem to repel an attack on the heart of MemeFi — Vice City. They assembled a squad of residents, but the bosses quickly felled the walls. Seeing the bosses' strength, the squad fled, leaving the heroes to stand alone against the titans, except for the young Darth Pepe as the inhabitants later called him.

The battle raged, but the heroes defended the city - though at the cost of their lives. The survivors Darth Pepe and Sminem created the Pepe clan to protect the city from future invasions.

Over hundreds of years the Pepe clan grew, enjoying fame and adding thousands of warriors. They became Vice City's protectors and expanded into businesses like Source energy extraction, magic laboratories, weapons factories, the DAO Bank, the Alameda investment holding, and the Mt. Gox exchange.

IguVerse

When Don Guan gained fame, his aspirations grew beyond wealth — he wanted the IguVerse clan to gain full power in MemeFi, stop civil strife, and destroy the bear god.

Hiring the era's greatest warriors, Don Guan seized distant provinces — gaining strength to challenge Vice City's clans. An army of mercenaries laid siege, but the city's clans bribed them to flee.

Realizing centuries were needed to achieve his dream, Guan continued controlling the provinces — collecting tributes and protecting the defenseless.

One day, Guan relinquished leadership, realizing influence could come through wealth instead. The clan lived on independently.

Now more an association of sheriffs than a clan, IguVerse still wages campaigns against bosses while providing law enforcement for the desert towns. But leadership no longer confers the power it once did. Representatives pack revolvers and shotguns — battling outlaws as they walk the remote provinces.

Shiba

The Shiba clan is one of MemeFi's newest, created when every slice of the pie was taken. Visionary merchants ShibaKingX and 0xsoyjack aimed to build power not through land or raids, but keys and trade.

Shrewdly, they gradually bought thousands of top warriors' keys, sparking market panic. When sellers dumped keys, crashing prices, the merchants snatched them up cheap.

Controlling the income from those keys allowed them to form a clan. Although Shiba now boasts its own warriors and raids, merchant key-holders remain its foundation — earning Shiba an important spot in Vice City.

Doge

A quirk of fate founded the Doge clan — its leader was the great warrior Cheems the Based, a Doge meme. Cheems displayed heroic strength battling in the First Furious War, then helped build Vice City. But he soon tired of the endless partying and fighting in the capital.

Craving wealth and land, Cheems gathered risk-takers for campaigns against titan bosses. But destiny denied his spoils when the god-like Bogdanoffs defeated him in a final bout. His comrades grabbed their loot and fled.

Decades passed. Then the now established Doge clan claimed Banana Cat Island. They forced tributes from settlements in exchange for protection. Soon they returned to the capital, buying the costliest property and securing influence beyond raids — also dominating finance. Tokenizing their assets, they profited from speculation too.

Now one of MemeFi's oldest and strongest, the Doge clan lord wields enormous power. Through first birth magic, Source energy, and the ancient Staff of Magnus, he can dictate terms not just to memes — but even the Bull God.

Dogekiller

The Doge clan's ruthless tributes and murderous antics earned enemies - but none could oppose them. Other clans dismissed the brutality, unwilling to ignite wars when conflicts stayed local.

In the 400th Eternal Moon year, the hero Grok Shlla emerged, stronger than old gods. Deadly with short guns and night magic, they say he was a vampire!

Grok despised the cynicism plaguing memeland. He battled the Doge thugs, killing leaders while vying as memelord. But Shibarius imprisoned Grok in purgatory for such disorder.

Still, Grok showed the Doges could be fought. Memes united as the Dogekiller clan, gaining strength in Velen to challenge Doge rule. Over time their influence stretched to farthest lands, amassing wealth until vengeance lost meaning.

Now controlling huge south and west Extreme Lands swathes, Dogekillers extract resources and even lend in Vice City.

Dogwifhat

Dog Wif Hat entered this world 12 years before the Great On-Chain Collapse of 997 - when seismic quakes shook the meme lands and Terminator machines from a parallel dimension suddenly invaded MemeFi, uniting into an unstoppable digital HiveMind. The old heroes retreated underground as the metal monsters decimated all resistance.

Dog Wif Hat grew into a gallant leader, training an army capable of battling the iron menace. Gifted with genius, he unearthed the magic of ancient gods to empower his warriors’ blows against the atomic-hearted demons. His hat also granted mystical might.

After 32 grueling years they located the HiveMind's central hub and destroyed it - but not before the machines harnessed chronomantic magic to send an assassin back in time to kill Dog preemptively. Only by dispatching a loyal defender to thwart the ploy was victory assured.

With the war won, Dog's army formed an unrivaled clan that drove MemeFi’s rebirth. Commanding ancient and cutting-edge magic alike, pioneering new technologies, establishing outposts across the land and dominating the mining industry - Dog’s vision led the resurgence.

Then one fateful morning, the legendary founder vanished without explanation. Some theorize that burns from chronomantic warfare finally reduced him to vapor. Others whisper that seeing his noble clan devolve into political players disillusioned him into exile.

None truly know. Only his creed survives, chanted by clan members: “The hat stays on.”

Characters

Memeguana/Don Guan

Born in the wild steppes of the western island, Memeguana absorbed from his mother's milk the ability to survive among killers and thugs. Main lesson? Always strike first. Thanks to his quick wit and natural entrepreneurial spirit, Memeguana rose from poverty and was able to make a fortune by hiring bandits and demanding a passage fee through MemeFi's vast road networks. If the bandits refused to do business by the rules, his Winchester 1892 and Colt Buntline entered the fray. The iguana blew their heads off, forcing the other bandits to scatter and taking all the booty. Memeguana's fame as a fierce fighter spread among bandits, and they no longer dared challenge him, strictly following the terms. With his composure, Memeguana gained the respect of the bandits and their leaders, later using them as the final argument in negotiations. Among the murderers, Memeguana is known as Don Guan.

One day, Don Guan exchanged his cowboy jacket and boots for an expensive outfit and velvet leggings. Having accumulated a fair amount of capital, he began brokering the trade in resources and built several mines that extracted the Source energy. Don Guan does not belong to any memeclan, mediating between memelords during negotiations, concluding deals and serving as a financial advisor. Now Memeguana is building the business empire he dreamed of from an early age, where thousands of memes will simultaneously spread information about goods in the bustling squares of MemeFi settlements and cities.

TooDoge

Born on the mean streets of Vice City, TooDoge was an odd Doge from a young age, standing out with his blocky build. This led him to pursue amateur boxing, where he met his future inseparable friend Lil Doge, a scrawny upstart who shared his pugilistic dreams. Though Lil Doge's build forced him to abandon his career, together they became one of the most fearsome duos in back alley brawls across town.

As word of the TooDoge spread, Apollo Cringe, reigning world champion, challenged the young amateur — enticed by his "Stallion Dogger" moniker. Though clearly outmatched, ambition burned within TooDoge. The fateful fight descended from a boxing match into a lawless street fight, with ribs, faces, fists and legs shattered over 15 grueling rounds. Despite a valiant effort, the veteran Apollo bested Dogger. But at this point TooDoge's legend was born.

His boxing days behind him, TooDoge took up a club and began robbing caravans for loot and goldcoins, reveling in the thug life. At a wild party, he drunkenly mocked the fearsome Doge Killer in front of his cronies. Doge Killer responded by whipping out his pistol and shooting up the place trying to finish off the fleeing Dogger. How the windswept duel ended, none can say — the survivors either died or fled into the night. Now TooDoge is on the run, his dear Lil Doge lost in their escape. Some say Dogger searches still, hoping to reunite and hideaway in some far-flung Zihuatanejo.

Dogekiller (Dogger 47)

Dogekiller was not born a dog but an ordinary Velen wojak. As a boy, he stumbled upon a coven deep in the forests and mountains. Angered by the intrusion, the witches cursed him into canine form. He's sought to break this hex ever since.

After the curse, his old name was forsaken — now only his clan name remained. Having tried many cures, he was fortunate to meet the wandering [REDACTED] along the serpentine. Intrigued by such a rare and difficult shapeshifting spell requiring immense Source energy, [REDACTED] meditated and revealed the truth — only the philosopher's stone from Don Guan's treasury could lift the curse.

Already a master of stealth, infiltrating Don Guan's lair was no trouble for Dogekiller. But direct confrontation with the ruthless gangster was too dangerous. Don Guan demanded a king's ransom — 50 million MemeFi tokens and 50 goldcoins— for the stone.

In the course of his travels Dogekiller discovered his talent for combat. After years honing his skills he became the most lethal bounty hunter around — quiet when stealth was required, explosively violent when the job demanded. But still his fortune fell short of the ruinous ransom. So he joined the elite MemeFi Contract Agency, taking assignments from his handler Diana to assassinate top memelords and even Bear's messengers for astronomical fees.

Pependalf

As a child, Pependalf, a young Pepega, was weak and frail, with braces on his legs to support his fragile back. He was constantly ridiculed and one of the least magically capable in his village. The people of Vice City had expelled the Pepega clan, believing they were involved in the murder of the Bull god. Pependalf's only solace was his friend Ashbie Moon, who spent time with him away from her own dysfunctional family.

Everything changed one fateful day when a group of angry memes, seeking loot and souls, chased them into a thick forest. There they encountered an Anomaly — a swirling vortex of Source energy. Pependalf fell in and collided with the Source, miraculously surviving. He rose up transformed and perfected in all the ways he had been imperfect before.

The Anomaly had birthed a monster — a man with four metal tentacles on his back controlling a small sun. But Pependalf showed no mercy, burning everything around him including his friend Ashbie. From that day, he realized the responsibility his powers gave him and has carried a deep sadness.

Returning to Vice City, Pependalf devoted himself to destroying evil spirits, becoming renowned for ruthlessly hunting monsters and ghouls. Though his home overflows with riches, he lives modestly, focused only on driving out evil and running his successful shrimp business. Perhaps he even dreams of killing the god of Ferocity, patron of all evil?

Shibarius

Unlike most Shibas, young Shibarius grew up enslaved on a deserted island, far from major cities. His family served a local crime lord. From childhood, Shibarius showed talent for technology, assembling complex robots.

His fate changed when he met the Cult of Readers, powerful magicians trained to use scrolls. Shibarius impressed them by escaping pursuers in a car and delivering the Readers to the harbor, the only place free of the crime lord's control. Seeing his innate magical abilities, the Readers took Shibarius in for training.

After years of study, Shibarius became a Sorcerer, but grew disillusioned with the Readers' fanatical Bull God beliefs and unwillingness to fully use their power. One day, conspiring with their enemies the Order of Blood who ruled Vice City, Shibarius destroyed the Temple and all within, taking only a ring granting higher magic and soul control.

Shibarius went into seclusion, spending 100 years mastering necromancy, time dilation, soul manipulation, and teleportation. He forged a staff to channel the Source's immense energy into magic. Shibarius became an éminence grise, influencing authorities on banking, religion and more. But unlike other memes, enlightened Shibarius cares little for MemeFi. His dream is to rediscover the real world, erased from meme memory, which he glimpsed during meditation.

Degen

When the inhabitants of MemeFi stormed the shores of the Isle of the Damned under the banners of their united clans during the second furious war, many refused to participate, considering the war unjust. Gathering in Vice City's square under the banner of the white rabbits, they declared their rejection of the ongoing conflict, only to be expelled from the square by their own kinsmen flying the flag of the High Council of Memelords.

As usual, new recruits were sorted into classes according to their intellect and magical abilities. The least bright charged ahead to overwhelm the endless hordes of Demons guarding their masters, while the smarter memes were spared the dirty work to avoid fueling dissatisfaction with the war.

But even these memes were insufficient. The memelords beseeched Shibarius for aid, and he swiftly conjured a solution— magically cloning the most exemplary stupid Warrior. Hundreds of thousands of these Warriors, called Degens, were created. During Operation Tet they assaulted the isle with an ocean of fire, but the Demons withstood the onslaught, cutting down 90% of the degens. News of the operation's failure sparked such indignation that the memlords relented, though by then the Demons acked the strength to resist.

From then on the Degens lived amongst the common memes, driven by greed.

Mona

Mona's birth was a true marvel — a cat born into the land of Doges. But her millionaire doctor father and her mother embraced their exceptional daughter. They nurtured her with love, business acumen, martial arts, and iron willpower — everything needed to thrive in MemeFi.

As a child, Mona bore witness to her parents' murder at the hands of the Bear priests who seized power in Vice City. Mona escaped the same fate, fleeing to the refuge of the Free Island where she began an independent life, swearing to battle evil.

There she aided the troubled, shielded residents from gangs, criminals, and the priests' punitive squads. When the Cult's power weakened and the Memelords swept them away, Mona returned to claim her inheritance in Vice City. She invested wisely in magical laboratories and ether, amassing immense wealth second only to Don Juan.

To combat evil, she organized a clan bearing her name. Mona took pains to ensure the clan served good, but reality often warped her lofty plans. To survive, the clan took to raiding bosses and warring with rivals, even pillaging inhabitants of other islands. Mona realized her project could not break free of MemeFi's vicious cycle and retired in disillusionment. Still, she continued privately helping residents defend against injustice.

Does she comprehend who is truly to blame for MemeFi's woeful state of affairs?

Wagie

Born into poverty, Wagie, excelled in school but could not become a warrior or mage. He toiled in Don Guan's Guan Eats diners for meager pay. Despairing from failures in life and career, he dabbled in key speculation, only to repeatedly fail — every purchase ended with his keys sold off

From whispers and rumors, Wagie deduced the mighty Bogdanoff bosses had marked him for persecution. Seized by rage, he bought a pistol, vowing to become a fighter and assassinate Bogdanoff. But his training bore no fruit until a chance reunion with his old friend Vernon.

Vernon had become an apprentice in Shibarius's WizFarm labs and pilfered experimental tablets granting extraordinary mental control and abilities. Admitting no outside help would come, Eddie rushed into battle unprepared, yet survived. From that baptism of fire, he walked the path of combat, honing his skills through practice. But accruing wealth still eluded him — Bogdanoff had somehow obtained thousands of Eddie's keys.

Desperate, Eddie tracked down Vernon for more tablets, only to find his friend murdered. Long accustomed to MemeFi's treachery, Eddie searched for the stash and discovered it hidden away. After swallowing two tablets, extraordinary cognition awakened, elevating his talents to heroic levels.

These newfound gifts allowed Eddie to overcome Bogdanoff's trials and rise as a successful hero. Yet he still dreams of finding and destroying Bogdanoff, before his burgeoning, recurring memory lapses force him to forsake the miraculous cure.

Trollface

The Umbrella Meds corporation, founded by three legendary magicians, researched the effects of magic and ether on memes' bodies. One day, researching the combined effexts of ether vapor and the Cluster B Reviria virus, they realized they could synthesize a scrollmutating memes' bodies with bosses' endurance, strength, and speed.

However, they couldn't replicate the scroll, so the magicians transformed one meme into a meme-titan hybrid and cloned it extensively. With their army assembled, they declared war on MemeFi's ruling High Council of Memelords, seeking to seize over the island. Ordinary memes supported the magicians, seeing them as liberators from the memlords' oppression.

But the rebels were doomed, as are all who incur the memclans' united wrath. The few surviving clones, dubbed "trollfaces" for their zeal in provocation and malicious mockery, scattered worldwide, searching for purpose.

Blue Smurf Cat/Shailushai

Shailushai was once a formidable boss — a relic of the old gods who amassed mountains of loot from heroes brave enough to challenge him. However, thirst for goldcoins and loneliness soon bored him, and he sought a cure.

Seeking help from the Cult of the Readers, he learned that destroying the Icon of Sin on the Isle of the Damned, guarded by demonic hordes, could make him an ordinary meme. It was the time of the second furious war, with Memlords assaulting the Isle. Shailushai joined the High Council's forces, where his godly abilities were noted. They tasked him with spearheading the push to the Isle's heart, where its guardians hid. During Operation Tet, Shailushai battled the Icon of Sin and emerged victorious, then immediately fled.

The transformation came swiftly — Shailushai lost his boss powers, though he retained great strength. More importantly, he gained free will. Accepting a warrior monk’s ascetic existence, he now quests across MemeFi seeking enlightenment.

Flokiria

Born on the Iron Islands, Flokiria dreamed of leaving her austere homeland to master the sword and be hailed a hero defending Vice City. Fate granted her wish, albeit twisted.

During an annual ritual duel, Flokiria battled her brother Gregor, whose sadistic pyro tendencies were apparent even then. By the contest's rules of sheer weapon skill, Flokiria bested her hulking brother, but he exploited his size to toss her into the ritual fire. Though the burns were minor, they instilled in Flokiria a dread of flames. Gregor faced no consequences for his deceit in their homeland, so Flokiria departed.

Northward she ventured, joining the Wall's guardians who protected the realm from the Spirit of Death and its fiery dead legions. They trained Flokiria in combat, weapons mastery, and deft parrying. But when the Spirit shattered the Wall's enchantments and the dead breached it, Flokiria's fire phobia overwhelmed her courage and she fled.

Only Shibarius could halt the dead tide, bringing an icy gale to banish the Spirit as its vassal. Legends spread of the guardians' bravery, the most effusive odes lauding Flokiria - as rumor held, she heroically battled fiery monsters before being dispatched to relay tidings to distant Vice City, crossing vast distances. Thus did Flokiria gain acclaim, though guilt has troubled her since, compelling utter devotion to the city's defense.

Worse, her brother has also come, seeking fame. Is it time for vengeance?

Doomerette

Doomerette was born under tragic circumstances — before her birth, her mother was bitten and charmed by a vampire. Rescued as a young child by Pependalf, she gained vampire abilities without the accompanying disadvantages. To prevent her becoming a ghoul, Pependelf concocted a potion she had to take regularly.

Raised in Vice City's most dangerous area, she swiftly mastered weapons, favoring a sniper rifle over open combat. One day, Doomerette left home to become a vampire hunter.

For years she decimated the ancient vampire clans, diminishing their influence in Vice City. With the city now free, she has one goal - to cure the vampire virus within her. But does she know the God-Bear will see her healing ritual as blasphemy?

Dogwifhat

In an epic tale of heroism and magic, a young warrior was born in the year 985, his father's life sacrificed to the iron death before his eyes had opened. The Dog's childhood was no carefree affair, for he and his brother, Cat, were trained in the arts of swordplay and archery by their mother's stern hand.

Yet fate had greater designs for the Dog. In his twelfth year, the wise mage Pependalf recognized the vast well of untapped power that coursed through the young warrior's veins. Under the wizard's tutelage, the Dog's magical abilities blossomed.

In the far eastern reaches of the meme lands, within a hallowed hat lab, the Dog found himself enraptured by the beauty of the mystical headpieces. With a wave of his hand, he conjured a random hat from a dimension beyond, and as it settled upon his brow, the power of chronometric mastery awoke within him. From that day forth, the Dog's destiny was bound to the flows of time itself.

Darkness loomed on the horizon, for the Dog knew an invasion brewed, though the hour remained obscured. In the year 997, the Great On-Chain Collapse shook the meme lands to their core. Seismic quakes tore the earth asunder, and from a parallel realm, the Terminator machines poured forth, their digital HiveMind an unstoppable force.

The old heroes fell before the onslaught, driven into the underground depths. Only the Dog, now united with his mythic hat, could muster an army capable of defeating the machines. Yet even as victory seemed within his grasp, the enemy struck a treacherous blow, sending a killer terminator through the streams of time to extinguish the hero before his legend could begin.

Undaunted, the Dog's loyal valet followed the assassin into the past, risking all to safeguard his friend's younger self – the foundation of the hero yet to come. On a fateful morn, the Dog vanished without a word, his fate clouded in mystery. Some spoke of the chronomantic warfare finally reducing him to vaporous essence. Others whispered that the descent of his noble clan into political machinations had shattered his spirit, driving him into self-imposed exile.

Decades passed, and only the Dog's creed echoed through the halls of his clan: "The hat stays on."

Then, as the heroes of MemeFi ventured into the Grand Degen Horror Park, seeking the key to defeating the enemy that threatened to consume all, a legendary figure returned, unprompted. Dogwifhat appeared, halting the relentless march of time itself. Within this frozen moment, he crafted a snapshot in time's fabric, and from this bastion, the heroes purged the park of its evil taint, restoring its former glory.

Bosses

Destroyer of Worlds

The Mystical Tree, known as the Destroyer of Worlds, stands in eternal solitude mere miles from Vice City, overlooking an extensive cave system beneath a marsh. Within these caves lies Primordial Ether, worth millions of goldcoins. Though barely mobile, it is a formidable force in battle, wielding powerful radioactive magic. Countless fallen heroes, vanquished in their attempts to conquer the Tree, have been transformed into radioactive ghouls. These ghouls now serve as its enslaved guardians.

The Tree, revered as the Master of Puppets, receives lavish tributes from the Children of Atom, a mystical order established at the dawn of time. Legend tells of vampires birthed by the tree, living secretly among humans, concealing their true nature. These vampires bewitch thralls who are then bound in servitude to the tree and assimilated into the order.

This Tree is one of the rare pure titans, not an amalgamation of different Old Gods' fragments. It originated from the heart of Apocalipsis, the Old God of Death. Many believe that this God did not perish but instead transformed, concealing its power from the Bull and Bear gods. Following the Bull's demise, there are whispers among the memes about the impending return of Apocalipsis.

King Ghidorah

In the fleeting moments when Vice City finds itself enveloped in tranquility, its usual chaos and tumult momentarily stilled, the hearts of its inhabitants begin to race with fear. A panic breaks out.

King Ghidorah does not know mercy; for his ancient dragon tongue is devoid of such a concept. This language is not merely a means of speech but a form of potent magic. Each soul-piercing shout carries a terrifying power, instilling primordial fear in the memes, leading to agonizing death and despair. The dragon might have been utterly fearsome, were it not for one of his heads, which, instead of inciting terror, provokes laughter. This odd, goofy aspect of the monster is its Achilles' heel, allowing the bravest MemeFi heroes to conquer and plunder its treasure.

The dragon dwells in the frozen wastelands, a desolate ice desert beyond the southern mountain ranges of Vice City. Concealed by Mirror Magic, it remains invisible to the memes, who see only water interspersed with sparse rock and cliff formations. Yet sometimes, the waters betray a different presence — the simmering rage of Ghidorah. The hidden icy plain is a trove of chests filled with precious goldcoins and loot, deemed worthy of possession by the monster. Those who triumph over the dragon are fated to achieve life-changing wealth.

This formidable titan was born from the remnants of three ancient gods: Gastro, the God of Gluttony; Arrogance, the God of Supremacy; and Cringe, the God of the Repulsion.

Moai

In the heat of battle, just as heroes verge on overcoming the enemy, a mind-jarring horn blasts through the air, followed by a wave of matter-obliterating energy. In an instant, the battlefield falls eerily silent.

Moai doesn't have a fixed abode; instead, he roams across MemeFi, decimating heroes and seizing their loot. Although Vice City boasts robust defenses, Moai moves undetected, his massive form gliding unseen against the backdrop of the iron sky, ruthlessly raiding heroes' homes. His deadly laser eyes are not his sole weapon; he also crushes foes with boulders and drains life with his spells.

Riches are concealed within his head, accessible only to those daring enough to venture close. Heroes who manage to approach without being disintegrated can plunder some of the most valuable weapons, armor, and precious metal tokens available in MemeFi.

Constructed from fragments of Avidity, the God of Greed, and Mistrust, the God of Post-Irony, Moai stands as one of the most intelligent titans. His brilliance lies not just in sheer power, but in his ability to exploit heroes' weaknesses and manipulate them psychologically.
